Will
start with a brief synopsis about the most anticipated movie to be premiered on
16th February and follow with why it’s set to break box office
record for a superhero.
The
aftermath of Captain America: Civil War, T’Challa returns to Wakanda his home, a
technologically advanced African nation to succeed to the throne as the chosen
King.
T’Challa
finds out that he has an adversary for the throne. With war looming that puts
the fate of Wakanda and the entire world on the verge of collapse, King T’Challa
must team up with C.I.A. agent and Wakanda Special Forces to protect his people
and crush his adversaries by unleashing the power of the “BLACK PANTHER”.
Black Panther as directed by Ryan Coogler has
already hit $110-$130 million with advanced ticket sales still booming. It has
sold more advance tickets than any other superhero film released, a proud feat
achieved by Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Fandango’s online tickets service has reported it has already
eclipsed sales of 2016’s “Batman vs Superman” and by the time of the premier is
set to become the biggest ever superhero film.
Black Panther is a celebration of blackness and perfectly timed
political commentary, as this year marks the 50th anniversary of the assassination
of civil rights activist Martin Luther King Junior. Popularity of the film also
stirs up as Donald Trump recent comments on African countries being shitholes. With
80% of the cast been Black, a powerful message has being sent across of Black empowerment
and Afrofuturism.
The Black community are fed up with movies portraying their characters
as outlaws, uneducated, under developed among other self-degradation images. This
movie has being wholeheartedly accepted by the Black community and the world at
large since the “BLADE TRILOGY” by Wesley Snipes featuring a lead Black
superhero movie.
By all standards an excellent movie by Marvel Films and Movie lovers wouldn’t want to miss this movie...
